I am new to the cafe and teaching ESL. However, I have read enough horror stories to know to be careful. I confirmed that one ad that has appeared on several job sites is a scam. Where should I post the information? The job is with Deutshe Schule Malaga. Maybe everyone knows about it already, but I was recruited and given an "offer". I don't want anyone scammed and wanted to get the word out. |

I guess I wasn't clear in my first post. The ad is a scam. The school doesn't know anything about the ad, and I've seen it in several places. Someone who calls himself Mr. Andrew Coleman [email protected] emailed me to ask whether I was interested. Thanks to forums like this, I was pretty cautious. I emailed the headmaster and here is his response:
I dont know Mr. A. Coleman, he does not work for us and we are very surprised, that there exists a job offer in the Internet. We are an official German School in the foreign system of the Federal Republic of Germany in Spain and we are recruiting our staff by the official institutions (foreign office) of Germany and the spanish teachers by the official employment office.
Kind regards
Dr.Korsten, Headmaster

You could post it in the Europe forum. I would hope that since the school in question now knows that there is a scam out there with its name attached, it is looking into the issue on its own.

Actually, it DOES seem legit, which is scary. Except for the visa, and car. And they don-t ask you to send money. I can see why people would get sucked in. |
