I'm leaving for Tokyo either August 11 or 12...i'm kinda flexible on the dates. I wanted to see if there was possibly someone that will also be leaving LAX at the same time. Maybe we could meet up and do the 1st part of the adventure together. My final destination is Tama-shi. |

I'm leaving either Aug 6th or the 11th to go to Narita and hang out for a week with my girl and some old friends in Tokyo. Then will be headed to Hiroshima around the 17th. BTW, I've been to Tama before, have an old friend who lives there. Nothing special I remember, other than it's the home of the Sanrio theme park. |

Tama-shi is far west Tokyo, a dormitory suburb basically, but you can be in central Tokyo in about 30-40 mins and smaller shopping areas like Machida are closer. Be prepared for some heat and humidity! Being inland, Tama doesn't get a lot of cool breezes, and August can be pretty uncomfortable. |

If you don't like humidity then you will probably suffer for a while- sweating profusely is just part of life in a Japanese summer- start preparing mentally! The humidity starts to ease from mid-September or so and the winter is actually quite dry. |

I'm flying out from LAX in mid-August as well, probably more like 14th-15th. But since I still haven't received my training dates, I can't say for sure. What company are you guys with? I'm with Interac and will be working in Yamanashi. |

Yo! That's the date me mail order bride fromthe Phillipines comes in so if you want I can drop her off at a cafe and we can hang out in the airport for some hours . My interests are philately (if you have to ask you probably dont wnat to know! ) and collecting Nazi memorabilia. If you want to meet up you can reocgnize me by my Charles Manson T-shirt its the only one I ever wear except the day I send it for its monthly wash (weather it needs a wash or not ). If you do maybe you could get me some duty free cigs and I'll pay you back whenn I see you.
Ciao! |

I'm going from LAX to Narita. Check out prices on www.kayak.com, the site checks out other websites like priceline, hotwire, etc. I saw a price for Singapore Air for $563 (taxes included). |
