Wow, I'm pretty impressed with myself at actually getting my username and password correct after all these years.

This boards still-a-kicken' eh? That's great.

So, I have a question for all you Peppy Kids Club teachers out there...if there are any still on here.

What's the pay/situation like these days? I've been thinking about potentially going back for a year or so, but I'm not sure if Peppy is still for me. Loved the kids, but if the life of a foreign English teacher in Japan was anything like it was five years ago...well...I might want to reconsider.

Anyways, let me know your thoughts, everyone.

Thanks.

The pay is still pretty much the same, which is good considering we're starting to see a lot of places sneak their wages down to 200,000 (I really think if everyone simply refused to work for less than 250 this would never happen, but unfortunately that's not the case).

Can't say much about the situation yet as I'm still very new.

Can you elaborate a bit on that? I'm looking for any tips in this regard I can get, especially if they are PKC-specific.

I applied to them the other day but haven't heard back from them yet.

The other day, a flyer came into the post. They just opened a new branch nearby but I don't know why since the place is saturated with schools already. Not to mention the increasing number of jukus too.

What is the pay ? My guess is about 200,000yen. I heard that teachers at PKC used to work generally fewer hours than many other schools, but given the competition nowadays this may not hold true. For any schools really.
