I know next to nothing about either city. I know Adana is more cosmopolitan and has a larger population. Which is a better city to live in, work, and earn money as well. Thanks! |

| I don't know much about Adana but I think you will die of boredom in Samsun. Winters are dreary there and entertainment is quite limited. The people are nice on the whole but it is not the best place for a foreigner. If you speak fluent Turkish you might get on all right but over all I don't recommend it. |

Have you got job offers in both cities? If so, how do the jobs compare?
If not, and you're considering cold calling, I think Adana has more to offer.
Bloody hot and humid in summer though!! |

| The cost of living in Adana is relatively cheap and if you are offered a good salary.. you might enjoy Adana more. Yes it is very hot in the summer and winters are mild. It might be a better place to live. But it really depends on what you like and how you like to live. Good luck |

I guess it depends on your own life-style. I lived in Samsun for a year. It was absolutely great! I visited Adana but would take living in Samsun over living in Adana. I guess I prefer cooler temperatures and "warmer" people (which is how I found the people of Samsun over those from Adana).
Samsun is on the Black Sea -- great travelling across the northern coastline; breathtaking scenery and fun-loving "Laz" people. Climate was ok -- lovely fall and spring weather . . .nice summer. Winter brought some rain and some snow (not a lot).
When all is said and done, I don't think you can lose with either choice. Regardless, Turkey is a wonderful country to experience, no matter where you are located.
All the best! |
