As easy as 1-2-3. I went to a local police department. I made sure to print out the proper live scan form and have it filled out upon arrival at the station. I got mine from the Thai consulate website. The police charged me $10 to do the fingerprints, electronically. They are sent within minutes to the DOJ. I also paid a fee of $32 for the DOJ to process. This all took about 7 minutes at the police station. I did this Tuesday morning. It is Thursday afternoon and I just received my criminal record check. I am on my way folks. |

You don't need it be notarized or authenticated? I keep hearing about that stuff but no details. Are you required transcripts as well as the degree? |

What are these background checks needed for? I am taking the CELTA in the fall and plan to look for jobs immediately after. Should I get the paperwork for a background check done before I go over? |
