Does anyone know any good, reputable, helpful, LOCAL orphanages in HCMC or Hanoi? We're leaving for Vietnam on the 18th, and would like to bring a rather large quantity of used but useful clothing. I'd prefer to deal with a local one, not international, not "famous", as we have personally experienced so much that is "fake" from VN, from adulterated medicines, doctored university degrees, "international" electronics that we eventually find out are made in Vietnam, even common substances that have "substitutes" in them--like toothpaste!--to stretch the product so that people can re-sell and make 10,000 VND.
The kind of place we're looking for would NOT have a web-site, and might not even have a telephone. I know these places exist (there are many), but I just didn't write down the address as we've passed them by, in and around HCMC and Hanoi. A name and address entirely in Vietnamese is no problem.
