I don't know if this has been covered before, but what does everyone think about online teaching jobs? I've seen a few, and they usually pay anywhere from $10 to $20 per hour. In some countries this is an extremely good wage. My wife is from Nepal, and we have always considered moving back there. The cost of living is very cheap, $500 a month being pretty well off. Of course, you need good connection. But at least there, if you are willing to pay for it, you can get good, high speed connection. Unfortunately, the power goes out fairly often. Anyway, I can think of a number of countries where the cos is low and might be good candidates for living and teaching online. For example, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Ecuador, Mexico.....I am sure there are many that I am just not confident enough to mention. Thoughts? |

So you'll need a back-up connection and a standy generator.
Third world countries aren't cheap for first world foibles. |
