Have any of you worked for them?
They are a seemingly large educational institution in China and they've got varieties of academic products with specialty courses pitching for higher education abroad. Some of their centers might be on campuses of unis or high schools and some in office buildings. Also, some of their academic products may even include adult or young learners ESL courses.
Now, I know of a few Century Education Group managed/owned centers in Guangdong and Guanxi. And, I knew of one in Hainan, although that one folded a year or so ago. ]
Here's their website
www.inedu.com.cn
and I know they've been heavily advertising on internet. Davescafe has got a share of adverts on this one. Note that this "group" has got schools or shall i say centers under varieties of names too.
Cheers and beers to our experiences in China |

i can't believe that nobody on forums has ever worked for this company. or, and respectfully, is it that some don't actually know whom they work for as this company "hides" under sooo many different names of "companies"
in this company, you may get paid from the pockets of a company called as this thread's name, even though your work permits may be under a different company's name. then, the center you work for may also be under a different name, but again under yet another name as operating on a campus of a uni, a vocational school or high school.
to offer my example, i've worked at a GAC preparation center in nanning guangxi where we were under a guangxi university for nationalities, however my work visa was registered (employer) OK nanning school. most importantly, my salary was paid by the company with the thread's name. i can't help wondering why a company would do business in such a way as in western countries the companies want to be known for its name rather than "hide it" under many other names.
there're a few reasons that i am inquiring about them. one is that i'd like to know your "inside" experiences with them. another one is that i'd like to raise awarness of such a trend in chinese private educational system where passing on the responsibilities is quite common. say for example, if you got screwed over something with such a company, you'd have a hell of a time figuring out who to blame. i saw a policeman getting lost in excuses who was responsible for the management at one center. i saw a bitter ft dismissed, although he had little clue about who he really worked for. i saw students/parents wondering whom to "blame" when things went wrong.
cheers and beers to anyone working for this company |
