I think is this for alc ...
I just arrived in Singapore from leaving Jakarta on an EPO.
After checking in, I went with my husband to the NPWP counter (he's Indonesian) and asked the guy behind the desk, if I leave Indonesia on an EPO do I have to show my NPWP or not. He answered I don't really know, (hahah typical!!) but show me anyway. He looked at the number on the computer screen said ok... and then stamped the boarding pass. No other questions asked. I reckon, if I didn't ask that question he wouldn't have even asked me for it.
When I was heading to the immigration, and arrived at the small desk where they check if you have paid the fiscal or not, the guy didn't even bother to look at my passport or boarding pass. He just told me to keep going.
Also, you only have to fill out the departure card (thats joined onto the arrival card) they throw the rest away. Usually you have to keep the arrival stub if you are returning.
At the immigration desk I told the guy, I'm leaving on an EPO, he said what... finished? I said yes.. finished good bye and he just laughed. He stamped the EPO and that was it.
No hassles and no problems....
hope this helps
P.S for anyone else..... I worked for ILP in Jakarta for 4 years... so if anyone just wants to know about ILP and their tax system (or lack of it) just read my old posts )) Other than the tax worry I had... ILP wasn't such a bad place to work
See ya.... |

When I left the country recently, I asked the guy at the FISKAL counter about my NPWP. He directed me to the counter, where they looked at my card and stamped my boarding pass. Then the FISKAL guy waved me through.
I've sometimes had problems where previous officials did their job wrong and a later official caught it - then I had to backtrack and waste time correcting the mistake. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for remembering my question! I accepted a job in the Maldives with a 12 month contract. I'll try for Indonesia again next year! |
