Hi, I am an Indian woman currently living in the United States. I have just completed the CELTA course offered by St Giles in San Francisco.
I have a Bachelors in English Literature and a PG in Journalism. I also have over 3 years' experience working as a reporter.
Since I hold an Indian passport, I do not qualify for several jobs posted on the job forums here.
What I want to know is which countries should I really be applying to. I can go anywhere as long as they're ready to accept a brown-skinned woman as an ESL teacher.
Any advice would be appreciated. |

There's always China., but even that might be hard. If you could get a US passport it would greatly help you |

Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I'm gonna redouble my efforts on the Egyptian front
I've also realized that most of Africa is not particular about the skin color of their ESL teachers but there's such a dearth of any information about language schools in Africa. Does anyone know of any reputed language schools anywhere in Africa?
Oh, btw, I forgot to mention that though I'm Indian, I've lived in the States long enough to have an indistinguishable accent. |

If you've lived in the US that long, get the passport. I'd make things easier for you. |
