|
|
Having read many of the threads in this forum, it appears as if online applications usually lead to disappointing jobs - one is never really fully aware of the legitimacy of the school being applied to, and the pay is often regarded as low or inadequate.
For the newbie teacher, would it be a better idea then to just compile a list of the desired schools, land in that city, and start calling around / visiting the schools?
Has anyone here done this, or knows anyone who has done this? |

Lots of people have done this. The only downside is you need to leave the country to get the Z visa. But that downside is really an upside if you're able to check schools out firsthand and find a good one, rather than showing up blind. |

I found only low paying work this year and it's kind of humiliating. I figure I must've looked in the wrong places, used the wrong system. I was lucky before...
pm me and let me know. Thanks.

What would be a good city to use this method? I currently hold a CELTA and a two bachelor's degrees.
Also, wouldn't it be possible to get a Z-visa in Hong Kong? |
