I have just been offered a post in the Dubai British School. Its all happened very quickly, no face-to-face or phone interview just a list of questions via email and then they mailed back a contract. Does anybody know anything about this school?

SCAM!!

Also if you do a search for Dubai British School, there have been 2 or 3 threads about the scam. They have lifted the website of a legitimate school. No legitimate school will send you a contract with no interview.

Do not send them any more paperwork and absolutely send them NO MONEY!!

You could look at TeachAway they are hiring teachers for public schools in Abu Dhabi 12-20K. Its not going to be all roses, check out teach-away-inc on facebook to get some idea of the teething problems but it is a position that is still 'up for grabs' so late in the year. They were advertising on Dave's.

As far as I know, the jobs that TeachAway is hiring for require that you have teacher certification from your home country.

Yes. You must be a certified teacher to get the ADEC teaching positions.
