I just got my TESOL certificate and I am looking for a teaching job abroad. I am considering several countries. I saw an ad here from a company called TeacherMexConnect. They claim to be able to place you in the Caribean Islands, Mexico and Europe. However they charge a one time fee of $40. I never heard of a company charging money to place you. Does anyone know if they are legit? Or has anyone gotten a job through them, if so what was the experience? |

Assuming you are a US citizen with no passport from a European country, they can't get you a work permit for most western European countries. They might be able to 'connect' you with schools in Central/Eastern Europe, but reputable schools in Europe generally don't hire anyone sight-unseen from abroad.
In short, for Europe, not worth $40. |
