|
|
Hello, I have just moved to HCMH with my husband and am looking for a job as an English teacher. I have a BA in English and a secondary English PGCE with two years experience of teaching in an English state school. However, I do not have a CELTA or Tefl certificate but am wanting to teach EFL. I was wondering if any of you know of any reputable organisations who I might approach to take me on? Any advice would be very much appreciated - thanks. |

You have what they need- TESOL CELTA is secondary. Not a necessity in your case.
Cleverlearn on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai- see Bui Trang
VATC also on Nguyen etc
Just to start with. You could also try ILA on the same street, VUS on the way to the airport. All have pluses and minuses, but they all NEED teachers. Good luck. |

I second Snollygoster. It's your market. You can teach anywhere, including both EFL and Int'l Schools. Research the board here and see saigonesl.com for a good list of schools and some (outdated) reviews. You can also see my handy-dandy google map of schools @ saigonalive.blogspot.com (though no reviews yet). |

Adding my voice to the chorus...
Come here, take a job at one of the big schools mentioned to pay the bills, and then set to work finding a better job at an international school. You shouldn't have much trouble at all. |
