Hi,
Can anyone recommend anywhere good/cheap to stay in Taipei? I'm arriving on August 17th with the intention of finding work and an apartment but will need somewhere secure for my first few weeks.
Thanks |

Hi
There are a couple of hostels we work with quite often in Taipei. Both are clean, conveniently-located, and run by very friendly people.
1. Taipei Backpackers: http://taipei-backpackers.com/
2. Taiwan Mex---I don't have a website for them, but if you do a search online you will find them.
Once you are here, if you need a job, feel free to contact us as well.
I hope this info helps!
Julie

| You've probably found a place by now, but in case you haven't, try calling Frank at +8860937068528. He has a couple of buildings near Shida/Guting area. I rented a place from him for 10 months and can assure you that he is a very nice landlord. When the building isn't full, he happily rents furnished apartments for short stays. This is convenient if you have people coming to visit you and no room in your own apartment, or if you need a place to stay between other apartments. I stayed in the building on Pucheng and it is new, clean, and close to everything. |
