|
|
So I am thinking of the possibility of teaching abroad, and am curious as to how I would go about getting started with it all......
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, and have my teaching certification through the state in which I live in. I have yet to find a full-time teaching position, but have gained a lot of experience since being done with college for three years now....
I have been a substitute teacher for grades K-12 for two years, and taught preschool for a year. I also have extra training in child development, spanish, and math curriculum.
so after I choose which Country I would like to teach in - what other information would you believe to be beneficial?
Do I need extra schooling?
How much does it cost to get started?
Is there provided curriculum at the school in which I would teach in?
Am I able to choose which grade level/age of students I would like to teach?
*I have never been to a foreign country, but think that it would be an amazing experience that is to be considered..... Any feedback, recommendations, or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks! |

You might be able to work at an intl school, look at www.tes.co.uk and www.ibo.org
Other info would be about flights, taxes, housing, meals, transport allowance,
YOu probably don-t need extra schooling, but you might need two years FT experience in a school. YOu can usually choose the grade you apply to. Try going to intl job fairs. |

It sort of depends on what country you choose.
Start with learning the following:
the local language,
the market,
visa regulations,
and
career mobility. |
