I am a Canadian citizen very interested in working in Germany. I am a university graduate and have a TESOL certificate, but I know it is tough to find work teaching in Germany.

The biggest challenge for me is that few companies hire from abroad in Germany and I can't afford to go over there and roll the dice right now. The schools that I have been advised to contact so far are Inlingua and Berlitz. If anyone has experience working with either of them, preferably in Berlin or Munich, I would really like to hear about the hiring process, the work, salary, etc., and any advice you might have.

Does anyone have any strategies that might help me find work before shipping over there, or at least some schools that I could contact to drum up prospects? Like I said, I'm most interested in Berlin or Munich, but any advice or experience related to teaching in Germany and finding a job or making contacts from abroad would be very helpful and much appreciated.
