If you were offered a position at either, which would you choose? KFUPMs proximity to the causeway isn't a factor as I've hardly ever made the trip across anyways. The climate isn't really a factor either. A few criteria that come to mind (bearing in mind that my expectations have considerably lowered over the years here): course materials, amount of 'unnecessary' paperwork, teacher to student ratios, administrative and managerial support/interference in getting a day's work done, provision of additional training, recognition for one's efforts (was that stifled laughter I heard?), on-campus housing, student motivation (I've pretty sure it can only get better compared with what I've experienced), transparent testing systems that actually reflect course materials, unofficially mandatory extra-curricular activities, etc., etc..

I'm surprised that there have been no responses. From what I have read here, KFUPM would seem the best choice, but... it could all be lies and propaganda...

Not based on personal experience of having working at either place, but, from all I've heard, if I were making the choice, I'd go with KFUPM.

The recent job posting on the board along with the testimonials in this forum have made the list of preferred employers much clearer. So, in the name of self-preservation, isn't this the point where I announce: Obviously anyone in their right mind would choose KAAU over KFUPM Laughing

Jeddah is a nicer location but KFUPM is a better employer. I am biassed. I was with them for a looooooooooooooooong time.
