I study Arabic in the Middle East and thought that teaching english part-time was a good idea. I usually travel back to Canada during summer unless I decide to stay in the summer to teach english. My questions are:

Can a person make more by being a personal tutor and going solo about the whole teaching english? Or is it better to just stick with some reputable institute?

And what is the best path to take to get knowledge, skill, qualified and competition worthy without leaving my goals (studying Arabic)? Just for the record, I only finished one year of my Arts and Science B.A.

I could just start teaching without any courses but I am just interested in taking courses for some reason that I don't know how to justify.

Work in one place, I like that one.

Paid vacations - I don't know if that's true for a part-time teacher that's a student in Saudi*maybe*

More benefits- like what? My friend with his master's got benefits like tickets etc. but I don't even have a bachelors so I don't know if I would get the same kind of benefits unless I am a full-time teacher with one of the schools....

Depends on the location where you want to teach. Usually privates are the better way to go but as others pointed out, there are no benefits.

Yeah, me too. I can't call in sick, 'cause I know when I'm lying.
Nobody pays me holiday pay. And, when something goes wrong,
there's nobody else to blame! Laughing
