Does anyone know anything about this company?
Are they legit?
The offers sound almost too good to be true. |

Try Bonne or Ms Poppins instead-they pay better. You may have to figure out visa support though. Gouverneur is an under the table company and they buy work or teacher visas for their full timers but if you are like me and interested in 20-30 clock hours a week you are up poo creek on the visa. I've turned down a few of their positions simply because they do not offer visa support and the ones that did were long hours and LIVE-IN. There was a really good one a few weeks ago- eves M-F I really wanted to go for but it's sans visa:( |

Is there any new information on Gouverneur International? I'd want to be full-time, so looks like visa and travel are paid. |

Still around but no longer the top paying outfit in town. Most of their stuff is also outside MKAD as well. |

Thanks for the info. I'm still trying to decide whether to come to the Motherland (as Sasha calls it). |

Since Bonne International was briefly mentioned, just thought I'd say that, although I don't have the quals their clients want, the lady I e-mailed with was very, very nice. Just from exchanging e-mails, I'd recommend this company-not that other company's don't have nice people, of course. |

Come! What decision is there to be made? Paradise, in all its forms, awaits the honest Worker here. Come! The Motherland calls!

Well, actually the video would deter me, except that I've been to Russia a few times and do love it. What's holding me from coming back to the Motherland? My special food diet is holding me back. This would be expensive in Moscow (so need money). In a smaller town I would starve or be sick all the time and that would affect my teaching big time. I'm still thinking about Moscow, though-just need enough money and non-shared accomodation. |

I had a job via Bonne Intl a while back and they were brilliant (not just great) in all areas. I had no problem with a visa and they couldn't have been more freindly or supportıve.
I didn't take to the job though- being stuck in a house in the suburbs 10 hours a day with a small kid led to cabin fever and terminal boredom; one weekend, I just got on a flight and left.
Having said that, I can recommend Bonne, and sort of wish I'd got over the 3-month culture shock hurdle |

Hmmmm. I see your point. Moscow is not a great place for special dietary conditions. That's why I just ingest liquids. Bсе одной. |

I'm pretty sure I could find most of what I need in Moscow, but for a price. I think for now I'll check out Germany some more before deciding on coming to Moscow. |

Hello all! Very glad that accidentally found this forum - finally have the opportunity to hear the views of the job seekers themselves in Russia.
Just want to apologize for my English, because I know its bad and I write through Google translator. But our five year old daughter speaks good English, because the age of 3 spoke with a governess Englishwoman.
I do not think you have any problems with the tutor int. To date, this is one of the best known agencies, along with those mentioned by kazachka.
In addition, native speakers are very popular in Russia. If you are not satisfied with the working environment, you can always turn on the spot to any other agency - they will just be happy! )
But for me, as an employer, there is a problem with Russian mediators specializing in staff from England - is a complete lack of guarantees. That is, if I pay 20% of the annual earnings of a governess, her travel, visa and apartment and the person starts to work, but after a month, for some reason goes, the commission is not refundable.
Over the next worker I have to pay again, but this time 10% of annual earnings. What to do in this case, the agency ... After a while they look for a family that is willing to pay more. Since the employee is already in Moscow, and there is no hassle with tickets and other things, they naturally agree. Then, the agency offers a governess to change jobs, but at a higher salary, referring to the fact that the budget for her current employer is limited to a certain amount, or other family give some bonuses in the form of additional leave (which is not always true) babysitting, of course , also agrees.
Thus, they again get 20% with the new family + 10% from me. And so the circle. Only in this case, I again have to look for a suitable candidate, to wait for its arrival, and to continue to pay for apartments. .
There is another version of events, with whom I've encountered the same - it headhunter.
Very often in schools and other institutions in which the child is accompanied by a governess, she was offered a job families wishing to save money. But if the worker then for some reason are not satisfied or the employer having financial difficulties, the nurse is as easy to separate.
Therefore, I advise the latter option right for themselves excluded and considered only as an additional part-time work. And with agencies all conditions, up to the last detail, just specify in the contract.
I wish you luck! If you would be interested, I will write later about life in Moscow, and the difficulties that may be encountered. |

So if I understand you correctly, then you recommend that a person come as governess part-time to Moscow and don't go through an agency. That is something I would not do for reasons mentioned in other posts in the past.
It sounds like you've had problems keeping your governesses. Sorry about that. I don't really need to know much about Moscow. I can get info from expat.ru and have been in Moscow several times over the years for short visits. |

No, you misunderstood me. Conversely I want to say that the problems with the agency don't should arise. And if that happens, you can always go to another one. But families who need a governess, often face dishonesty agencies. |

Good post earlier. I might also add that some agencies are just terrible at communicating with both families and governesses in a timely manner. About Bonne- yes they are awesome, but as I mentioned before, I have yet to see any of the part time positions like I had a few years ago with them. Their contract terms are great and I was treated professionally. They have been interested in me for the FT/live in thing though, but that's just not for me. To be completely honest, I finally got totally fed up with some of the agencies' poor communication skills and one actually had the nerve to ask me not to take any clients while they wait and WAIT to get me set up with a client who only gave them the runaround. Of course I didn't wait or I'd have waited over SIX weeks! If they can't decide in a timely manner, I just move on to the next person who is interested in my time slots. I now do PT tutoring and governessing in the after school hours and the clients I have, have all been acquired on my own initiative and or by word of mouth from other students. Time is money, and I do not have time to wait forever for an agency who has terrible communication skills. Major bummer Bonne still doesn't have PT or I'd do it in a heartbeat. |
