|
|
Hello,
My girlfriend and I are trying to get a rough estimate of our expenses in Turkey. We want to rent a flat in Beyoglu (1 or 2 bedroom) for 3 months.
We don't want the apartment to be squalid, but we don't need a lot of frills - just functional. Of course, we'd also like it to be fully furnished since we might move to a different city after that.
How much should we expect to pay per month? Please list the currency of your estimates! $500-$700? More? Less?
Many thanks!

I don't need a precise reply really, just your best guess... |

Beyoglu is pricy. I'd think more than you are quoting. |

I would say it will be more than your estimate (considerably more if you want a Bosphorus view).
Check out www.hurriyetemlak.com Click on English, and then "to rent" under residence. On the next page, click on detailed search and fill in what you are looking for.
Good luck. |

Sorry I missed the 3 month part of your thread. You would be better off staying in a hostel as no landlord will rent to you for 3 months unless you want to pay an exhorbitant amount for rent. Also, he/she could very well ask for the three months rent in advance + at least one month's rent for a security deposit. This, added to an emlak fee, would be quite expensive. |

big3bc is spot on. Short term rents are very expensive, especially in Beygolu/Taksim. Take a look at this site: http://www.flatsinistanbul.com
A hostel would be okay for a short term. Also check craigslist. |
