Just wondering, I want to buy a one way ticket from Istanbul to Germany.
Is this possible, or do you have to buy a return ticket?

of course if you already have a contract, a 1-way is legal. |

Air tickets are generally sold without the return. You don't need to purchase a return ticket. |

Actually, if you are not an EU citizen, you may be asked at the airport check in how long you plan to stay in German/the Schengen zone. The laws changed Jan 01 2009 so that non-EU citizens get only 90 days in the zone (google for a list of countries) and then must be outside for 90 days before re-entering.
I have gotten questions at airports recently (I"ve got legal work/residency documents). |

Someone I know (not an EU citizen) recently purchased a one way ticket from Istanbul to Berlin with Turkish airlines. |

Yeah, I think you can buy the ticket, I just think you might get questions entering Germany regarding when you plan to leave the zone. |
