It seems not too difficult to find photos of apartments of English teachers in Japan, Korea, and Thailand, for example, but not so easy to find photos of the same from teachers in the Gulf.
Or maybe its just my search skills need an upgrade.
I'm specifically looking for photos of KFUPM housing (interior as well as exterior shots), if anyone knows where I might look. |

Many have searched... few have found. Off the top of my head I can only think of one employer in the Gulf who has pictures of their housing on their website and it isn't in Saudi. Every once in awhile you can encounter a blog from someone who posts pictures of their housing.
I assume that you tried their website and found nothing. We have some KFUPM teachers here who might report in. But, I wouldn't be too concerned. This is one of the better employers.

Taibah university does not provide housing for faculty members. |

| Some time ago KFUPM published a handbook for applicants which contained photos of hosuing for faculty. I have not seen a copy for a while. |

Are you talking about single or married accommodation?
The problem with photos is that it is presuming the accommodation is all the same, and that is not true. Even for same size apartments there can be differences according to the location in the building or arrangement of rooms. |

| If you're childless you'll get a single-bedroomed apartment with your spouse. If you're single you'll also get a single-bedroomed apartmetn but it will be smaller and newer. |

That site shows the housing for faculty and staff, not just staff.
I hear people all of the time in the ME referring to faculty as "staff", or "teachers". What is that about? I suspect it is an effort to reduce the status of faculty. I understand this is exactly been the effect at at least one university there.
I also understand that KAUST in more interested in treating faculty in a professional way, as well as staff. I've heard great things about KAUST, and some not so great things. The bad news is that they are starting out as a graduate research institution, and that means no undergraduate ESL program. |

Well, it is about human being!
Faculty = staff = human being (in my eyes).
Faculty = Professors with high salary and large villa(in the eyes of Uncle Bandar)
Staff = administrators, part-time teachers, drivers, etc, with lower salary and large apartment! (in the eyes of Uncle Bandar!).
In some cultures, the word 'staff' may include both 'faculty' and 'staff'!
