Teacing in the Al Gharbia region? Is it an isolated area of the UAE? I think thatMadinat Zayed is a city there? What's it like?Any details on other cities and life there?

Yes, MZ is in Gharbia. It is about 1 1/2 away from Abu Dhabi, (160 km) in the middle of a beautiful desert (Liwa). It is in the middle of nowhere. Although I heard that there is now a mall in MZ, and there are now more expats than ever before (HCT, and other schools), it is still a very quiet small town. For distractions, there is the Liwa hotel about 50 km from MZ. It has a pool and a magnificent view of the sand dunes. There is also the Mirfa hotel (75 km away and nothing special) or the Jebel Dhanat hotel (beautiful 5 star digs with pool, spa, etc.) a little further out. That's about it!
