Hi everyone,
I've heard that NOVA's come back. Just wondering if anyone is working there and what it's like now. I've heard mixed things about NOVA - bad for teachers, good for students, etc etc. If anyone is actually working there now, I hope to hear from you. |

Just out of curiosity, especially with the many eikaiwa in Japan, why do you ask? |

I prefer to turn the question around:
Is NOVA working for anyone anymore?

Well, the company that bought Nova were recently offering between 1200-2400 yen an hour for p/t teachers if that tells you anything. |

I worked for the new Nova until last year. Things were bad (because of all the firings they did at the beginning) but, if you worked at old Nova at the end, seemed much the same (no pay raises, and if you had any they were getting taken away).
I think the 1200-2400 yen a lesson is something from a franchise owner (yes, a lot of Novas now are franchises). |
