Is there much of a market for intercultural trainers, who prepare volunteers or professionals to transition to an overseas assignment, for example?

What type of background (education, experience, certifications, etc) do these specialists tend to have? It sounds like a really interesting career path ... if it exists.

Dear Matt,

Not being in the field myself, I can't speak from experience, but I did a university course last year that touched on it. There is a sector called cross cultural training, I think, and its allied to ESL/EFL, adult education, corporate training, and communications. I beleive it's fairly big.
