Friend of mine comes from The Philippines and has 3 years' experience teaching kids in Korea. She also has a Masters in International Politics (or maybe Political Science) from a Korean university.

Is there any chance she could teach in China? If yes, how hard would it be for her to find work? What salary could she expect to make? Would a small city or big city be better in terms of landing work?

Well that is an interesting question. Very Happy I think most places would probably prefer to take a high school drop out back-packing guitar toting American, and pay him/her signicantly more, over your friend with an MPA. Simply because parents pay big $$$ for their kids to learn from Mr/Ms Whitey.

How good is her English ? Does she have an impeccable British accent ? Does she have a Clint Eastwood "Hang em' High" Cowboy American accent ?
.
....Or does she have the typical Phillpino accent I hear all to often when I have to call Sprint or Wells Fargo ? If it's either A, or B, her chances may be good in the next two weeks as schools scramble to fill vacant FT positions.

If it's C then still her chances may still be good while employers are desperate, but after the feeding frenzy dies down, then her best bet is probably looking for some place that does not get a regular influx of foreign teachers. The University im at right now (Beijing Outskirts) has only White FT's, and will only Consider Whitie's.

Just tell her to start applying at places & see what their reaction is. Im sure she could get easily get a chain school job, and then once she get's to know the area, she can start looking for other jobs.
