I have applied to a few positions, and have experience and a TEFL certificate. Does anyone know a location which needs female teachers for October?

There may well be places looking for female teachers, but unless you're in Saudi Arabia and have contacts at universities, it's far, far too late to apply for a position starting in October.

Obtaining a Saudi visa is a lengthy procedure. From the day you formally accept a job to the day the visa is in your hand can take several weeks, even months! If you do want to work in KSA, by all means continue to apply, but January/Febraruy 2010 is a more realistic start date.
