Hi

I'm moving to Taipei beginning of Feb and am wondering if there are any ultimate leagues in Taipei or other parts of Taiwan? I'm making my packing list and am wondering if I should bring my cleats and disc? Any info is appreciated.

Thanks.

There is a link on the Taiwan Ho site but I can't get it to work.
Maybe you can.

As poster #1 indicated, yes, there is ultimate both in Taipei and there was a group in Kaohsiung. In Taipei there are some local teams as well as an ex-pat team, but I don't think they mix much. They do have some national tournaments though. Their websites had been www.renegadeprovince.com and www.blacklung.net respectively, but they don't seem to be working at the moment.

In the mainland, Shanghai and Beijing both have groups, though Shanghai's group is more consistent (four team leagues, three leagues per year). Shanghai's website is www.shanghai-ultimate.com, but it's out of date though the email addresses should work.

Hong Kong also has a fun group that won the last Asian tournament in Manilla against the Singapore team.

Good luck.
