Has anyone took the TEFL course here or heard anything good or bad about this program/school in Mexico City?
Thanks! |

Hello. I have a small language school in Tlaquepaque and have had dealings with Teachers International to place teachers from their program at my school.
All the teachers I have received have been good (which makes me think the program is thorough and well organised). Guy, my contact at the company is professional and communicates well.
As an 'end user' of the TI product. I would say they seem a small, professional and committed organisation.
Good luck in your decision! |

Take a look at Dunham Institute.
http://www.dunhaminstitute.com/
4 weeks of training/120 hours which includes housing for $1,600 USD.
The school is located in Chiapas, MX. |

Prof. Gringo and I are both in agreement on Dunham Institute. Its one way to go.
The only other program that I believe to be a better deal than Dunham is the CELTA program in Playa de Carmen. It is more expensive but has the primary world reputation for TEFL training.Their students rave about the intensity of that program and how well it prepares wannabe teachers for the marketplace.
Keep in mind also that should you wish to return to the US and work in an English teaching program for foreign, non native speakers, generally they are looking for candidates whose TEFL accreditation included more than 100 hours of instruction. |
