Is it possible to fly into Hong Kong on a one-way ticket. I'm not sure what my travel plans are, but after my Korean contract is up I want to travel a bit - probably starting with Hong Kong. After that, I plan to go where the wind takes me.
Thanks. |

Yes, it is possible to fly anywhere in the world on a one way ticket. If your own immigration department allows you or the airline you are flying is another thing. In some cases, if you have cleared those little hurdles, you may be asked for an onward ticket on arrival. |

I flew into Hong Kong on a one-way ticket from different airports around the world (the UK, Canada and other Asian countries). I've never experienced any problems, but I agree, some airlines might not even let you on the plane without onward transport. I've always had a rule: appearance is important...if you look dodgy you might be asked questions, probed and be refused boarding...if you look like a normal average guy/gal who seems to have some cash in his pocket (or a credit card) you'll be fine. |
