|
|
So a lot of us have found ourselves in the position of being stuck in our respective countries for a little longer than expected.
This is due to the fact that there is a huge backlog when it comes to the visa processing.
And our recruiters and future employees are in the unfortunate position of not being able to tell us when to expect our visas to be completed by.
I know everything is practically on hold due to Ramadan and EID, so my question is when exactly does this end?
What day can we expect the bureaucratic wheels to start rolling again?
Anyone here know the system? Can you give us a date? |

September 26 is when the wheels will start rolling again.
The government is on holiday till then, starting yesterday (15th). |

What stage of the visa process are you at?
If you're still waiting for the visa number to be issued by the MoFA in Riyadh, then as Trap says, nothing will get going until after Sep. 26th. If you've already got this number, and are now dealing with the embassy, it's probably best to contact them to ask when they'll be opening after the Eid holidays. They may open after Saudi National Day (Sep 23rd) or they may take the whole week off. Best to ask them. |

Haven't got a visa number yet. My husband is waiting in Canada and I am in South Africa because we have to apply for business visas from our home countries... Maybe he can fly down for a two week visit if the process is that delayed! |

Oi Doi Oi! At least a month it seems.
A question:
Is the visa pack emailed or posted?
I have asked my recruiter to email it to me
as I have just moved out of my apartment
and into an hotel. She has my old address
that I have informed her several times is no longer
apt. No comment forthcoming from her re this information.
The possibility of it arriving through the mail is
breakdown making.
Any advice/comments much appreciated. |

This is not true. I got a business visa last year and I was not in my home country. |
