I've noticed there isn't a lot written about the teaching opportunities in Guatemala (if there is anything at all)... but I was wondering (and hoping) if anyone has some information about Institutes and Academies in Guatemala City. Or even just general information about how much to expect to get paid.
If anyone has ANY info about Guatemala and teaching English, please let me know... I need a job. And I've gotten so desperate that I sent an application and my resume to Berlitz today ... yeah, it's serious.
(Yes, I have a CELTA, a bachelors degree, and a years experience teaching in Chile)
thanks! chau chau |

I figured as much. Haha.
Guatemala because my fiance is Guatemalan. The country is beautiful, but the money-making options are slim. We probably won't be staying here for too long. We are actually hoping to move to Chile (it's like a second home to me now and the money is much better ) )
For now I'll just learn what I can about teaching in Guatemala and pass that info onto whoever else may be crazy enough to come here to teach! |

I figured there must be a guy involved. About Chile, check with visas. HOw are you going to get him a visa? Do you ahve citizenship in Chile? I'm in a similar situation. I'm America, my husband is Peruvian, I'd be supporting him. It's hard. |
