In China when I am travelling around the country I usually rely upon agencies such as "sinohotel" for my hotel bookings - they are supposed to provide cheaper room rates to you if you book through them,although a hotel might offer you the same "discounted" rate even if you arrived unnanounced !

Anyway,I use the sinohotel agency because it is convenient - as well as for the cheaper rates.In a few days time,I'll be leaving China for a 4 month break,and will be going to HK,Bangkok,Singapore,Australia and NZ.Would anyone know of Internet hotel booking agencies that offer "discounted" or "special" room rates for hotels in the aforementioned places ?

www.zuji.com has some hotels.
www.asiahotels.com has some more specific to asian countries - many for thailand and the like
www.bootsnall.com if you want world wide hostels and cut rate hotels.
