Hello. I'm interested in getting a job in TESOL, and I'm exploring my horizons a little bit. Where is a good place to look for a job in Kuwait?

Same here. I'm also looking at working in Kuwait for a while and experiencing that are.

I've got 4.5 years teaching experience. I've also got a Bachelors in computer programming and a CELTA certificate.

How do you go about finding a job in this country? I saw on another post someone mentioned some websites where you can put your resume and potential employers can contact you. Does anyone know of any such sites?

Are there some other forums or online communities that offer more information about working and living in Kuwait?

Thanks a lot.

They may work, but I suspect that you mostly get the bottom feeders and scammers. But with limited credentials like yours, it is as 15years says - but apply directly.

As far as how it is for single women, that depends on your age and expectations. There are no restrictions like Saudi Arabia, but there is no (legal) booze and thus parties are rather limited to private residences. I found it the least pleasant Gulf country that I lived in, but that was mostly because of the traffic and bureaucracy. I have single female friends who have lived there happily for 10-15 years.

And that seems to have taken care of THIS particular thread as far as Mr T is concerned.

the only response being a rather naff resurrection on another board of an ancient thread for a bit of hand slapping.

I would direct you Mr T to the advice I sincerely proffered on the Thailand board; it is applicable worldwide

Yup Mr T you have to get the credentials...which take time and effort.

Sir I remain, once again. Mr K

Oh Mr T, I tried but the post was pulled by the moderator for being off topic so I wasn't able to enjoy the full majesty of your prose.
The post I made, and I think most who visit these boards would agree, is valid and direct about the best methods by which to go about acquiring a well paid and enjoyable job.

I remain as ever. Mr K Laughing Laughing Laughing
