What is food like for pure vegetarians in Libya? I am guessing that there is not too much of a hippy movement out there! |

Depending on where you will be in Libya then I've heard that Indian food is available and that has a lot of veggie.
It may be possible to also get falafal with houmos if u ask around. |

All usual veg available, meat is expensive, all the pasta and couscous you can eat. Cheese, yoghurts and other dairy products are commonplace. If you're in a big city no probs....in the field you have to eat what you're given, but there's always rice and salad, sometimes veggie soups and eggs.
Perosnally I think being a veggie is mad. |
