This outfit seem to be rather unethical, if not illegal, in their treatment of EFL teachers. There's a story about them in the EL Gazette this month:

But, to summarise, here goes...

Several EFL teachers have successfully sued a British Council-accredited school for non-payment of wages, but have failed to get their money because the company which owned the school went into liqiudation after failing to pay its taxes. Now it appears that the school, based in Swindon, England, and previously known as UKhelp4U Ltd, has reinvented itself, and ownership of the accredited school has passed to UKhelp4UAcademy of English Language Limited.

The British Council are, of course, passing the buck big-time on this one, and refuse to be drawn into action - in fact, they'll not even be bothering to reinspect the 'new' school. Well done, BC - fighting for Teachers' rights all the way!!

Things seem to be getting worse at UKhelp4U. First they were ripping off teachers, and now it seems they have turned the focus onto their own students, with tales of international money scams and death threats!

Developments at UKhelp4U are increasing ---- and for the worse! Recent discoveries have uncovered fraud and intention to deceive, failed court cases, and, worst of all ... accusations of human trafficking.

It is quite clear that the foreign owners of this school truly have NO conscience at all, and are prepared to stoop to the lowest level to rip off their teacher AND their students!!

Avoid this school at all costs ... or you'll end up a victim too.

That blog is indeed the fine work of Sandy McManus - and hence a rattling good read! It reveals UKhelp4U for the shysters they are - ripping off teachers AND students at the same time!

As for 'eflexpert', it is not Lisa Cairns at all. She once worked for, and was sacked by, the East London School of English - so I guess it's the school's former owner having a bit of fun at her expense (?)
