Re: US taxes, you still have to file a return, but your overseas wages are exempt from US taxes up to around $60-$80,000 annually. You will, however, have to pay taxes in Vietnam, from 12% to 25% depending on your length of stay.
If you find work, your employer can (should) get you a new visa when you sign a contract, although you also have to start the Work Permit process which means providing original documents (ESL cert, Uni degree, criminal background check). |
