I've been offered a two-year contract in Penang, George Town with a monthly salary of 9900MR.

I'll be going with my 2 kids, son is 12 and daughter is 9.

Is Penang a good place to raise 2 kids for a couple of years or maybe longer if things work out?

Also, my wife is Chinese and a qualified teacher, could she find work teaching Chinese?

Finally, what are the schooling options for my kids? The international school option is so expensive, am curious about a local option.

Any ideas which are the most affordable areas to live in Penang? Ideally, we'd like a house.

Sorry for the millions of questions but the company concerned want an answer asap.
