I am in China doing the paperwork for a z-visa and they are mentioning my degree( I have the original ) needs to be certified. They think it needs to be sent back to Australia because it came from Aus. Sending a degree back to aus sounds crazy just to get it certified? Anyone have a solution or have experienced this I would be interested in knowing. |

they "think" it needs to be sent back? sounds as if they dont really know what they're talking about.
i had a copy of my degree notarized once by a lawyer, but that was back home. the lawyer merely puts their stamp on it and states that its a certiied true copy of a degree. sending your degree back home to have it notarized seems a complete waste of time. if i had to have a degree notarized here i'd try to find a foreign lawyer working in china who might do it. |

Ha! When I contacted the Chinese consulate back in 2004, I was told pretty much the same thing. They weren't sure of the procedure. Heaven help anybody who has to jump through the crazy hoops that were prescribed by the consulate websites in 2004.
Submit a scan and let someone who KNOWS what has to be done tell you what to do. Contact a reputable recruiter. (Is that an oxymoron like "army intelligence"?). They're usually on top of the current trends. |
