|
I am in Shanghai until 13th December and hope to find some work in order to cover my living costs. I shall be back in January with a fresh 90 day visa, so I can commit to a reasonable amount of time to any post I find.
At the moment I am doing some hours of english conversation at the Lingo bar and really enjoy the work, however I only get a free meal and ideally I dont want to be eating into my savings until xmas.
Does anyone know of a place that needs someone and would be flexible enough to allow me to go home at xmas (as my flight is already booked). All the ads I have seen and applied to thus far have been for more permanent posts.
Any leads would be appreciated....cheers! |

The only type of school that will let you work for a month will be some desperate language mill who screws their teachers over.
Why don't you apply to EF and explain your situation, they might agree to something like this. |

Ask mum or dad to wire you some pocket money! Try to get a legal job in the meantime... |

You ever seen the film midnight cowboy - find yourself a local Ratso Rizzo - maybe one with less of a limp, and nicer apartment than the film version - and bang. literally a bang, you're in business.
Believe it or not there seems to be a market for lao wai "ducks" - it seems size is also a salable commodity |

I've heard some beggars net around 3K a month. Steal some old, soiled clothes, let your beard grow. rub dirt and blood on your face and hands.
Sit by a busy Metro station. Look forlorn. Tears help. Moan. Whimper.
Better yet, rent a filthy kid and put fake, catsup-soaked bandages on his head. |
