Yantai is all right. Can't comment on schools, but it is a ferryride away from Dalian, and a short bus ride to Qingdao.
I hate giving salary expectations, but that's only because I expect more than most. |

Mind commenting a bit more on why Yantai is all right?

| I once passed through on my way from Dalian. got taxi from Yantai to Qingdao with three strangers in 2007. Cost us about 10GBP each. So i would say the cost of living is very cheap. Didn't look like there was much to do there though. |
