Hello,
I am interested in going to China to teach. I was wondering if anybody out there knows of any good places to look. I am getting my CELTA in May and I want to start in June. I have heard about a lot of dodgy schools out there, similar to my experiences in Korea. I am looking for a private school or university with decent wages. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Josh |

Your chances of getting a job from an university are the same as from a training centre. In most cases, you get hired to do conversation classes.
However, pay often is better at training centres. They are private, after all.
You pay for this extra money by having fewer holidays, and by working on weekends, with a day or two off during the week.
And, work can be more unsettling with classes changing all the time, and lots of them in companies training their staff (who don't seem to be motivated to enjoy this freebie!). |
