| Since I got a job offer there, I thought it would be pertinent to ask. Single male BTW. Thanks |

Pertinent to ask... and easy to answer.
According to my reliable sources, housing for single male teachers at KSU is... non-existent. They give you a housing allowance and leave you to find your own place, with little or no assistance. Not fun if you're a newly arrived teacher. |

I'm not so sure it would be very much fun even if you weren't a newly arrived teacher. What other universities or employers in the KSA throw their teachers out on the street before they've secured their new accommodations!? Doesn't sound nice (in any part of the world).
That said, the accommodations really didn't sound like much of a prize anyway: shared, in the sticks, no security, questionable (at best) internet, no community facilities etc. I've seen the pictures and I'm not impressed!
Who wants to work for an employer in Saudi who does this sort of thing?! |

Been there done that.........I stayed for about 9 days and then left. Shared housing with co-workers not for me! On each floor a "supervisor"
that walks into your flat unannounced. More like a High School Dorm than apartments for teachers.
Sadly, there are little or no resources for students or instructors as well. |

| Choose your employer in KSA with care. One that offers shared accommodation is definitely not a serious contender. Life is stressful enough in this part of the wporld without living with your colleagues. |
