Well assume the poster was joking about Bush and Blair getting this. Reminds of me of my favorite Chomsky quote::::
No American President of the last 50 years---judged at Nuremburg---would escape hanging.......Chomsky.... |

Yes, that pair were really nominated. Both have also been nominated in previous years. All sorts of bizarre and inappropriate people get nominated for that prize. Heck, even Mr Schniklegruber got nominated in his day.
However...
The actual prize is normally given to a more sensible nominee. |

Dear lajzar,
"The actual prize is normally given to a more sensible nominee."
Some abnormal winners:
Menachem Begin (1978, joint winner with Anwar Sadat, who later got assassinated for his peace efforts)
Yasser Arafat (1994, joint winner with Shimon Perez and Yitzhak Rabin, also later assassinated for his peace efforts)
and my favorite
Henry Kissenger (1973 - joint winner with Le Duc Tho, who, having a lot more class, politely declined the honor)
Regards,
John |

Exactly. Why don't they just call it the Nobel War Prize, or the Services to the Arms Industry Prize? |

Let's not forget David Trimble (from N Ireland), who won it a few years ago, depsite helping to incite and continue the Drumcree protest, which led to a young man being killed...

And let us not forget for one moment that good ol' Mr Nobel himself invented high explosives - specifically dynamite! |
