Hello all!

My wife and I have decided to go to live and work in Japan, so now after months of reading this forum I have decided to solicit some opinions and ideas.

We are now currently living in the honeymoon capital of Vietnam, Dalat,
high up in the mountains, the city of eternal spring. Prior to this we were living in the honeymoon capital of Korea, Cheju Island. Since both of these places have proved to be lovely places to live I thought it might be a nice idea to find out where the honeymoon spots in Japan are.

Any ideas?

Tokyo Disney

Actually Japanese people are pretty smart and honeymoon overseas. Hawaii and Guam are popular.

So are you two trying to make a career teaching in honeymoon locales? Interesting idea.

As I was riding home I realized the answer to my question was going to be "Hawaii". There must be some traditional domestic honeymoon destinations.

Gordon, Its not that we are trying to make a career out of it, it just occurred to me that it might be an interesting way to narrow down the options. In retrospect, the question seems a bit frivolous.

Anyways, my wife and I are looking for a beautiful spot in Japan for ourselves and our two children... somewhere rural, perhaps up in the mountains. A small hotspring town sounds nice...

Try Hakone or Kusatsu.

Both are mountain hotsprings. They are in Kanagawa and Gunma respectively. I have been to both and are very beautiful.

PM me if you have anymore questions.

Cha muir, if you do come to Japan, PM me and I can help you if you have any questions regarding your children. I also have a wife and child here. Japan is a great country to have children.

Hakone is a peaceful place. You might also want to consider Handa city in Aichi...
