If you were a Taiwanese employer, and you saw "x years of experience in Korea," would you:
roll your eyes, but maybe call the laowai up anyway, because you need a warm body?

I get news feeds from Kaohsiung Living everyday, delivered to my Hotmail inbox.

Everyday, a new teacher goes on there and says:
"I'm a white native English speaker with three years of experience in Korea."

or

"I'm a caucasian native English speaker teacher with two years of experience in Korea."

or

"wazzup john here i have 4 yrs of teechin' experience in kroea and am willing 2 teech all ages"

I'm really starting to wonder if employers look at the statement "I have x years of experience in Korea" and just roll their eyes. I know I'm starting to, and I'm among the people with experience in Korea!

Is it becoming a cliche like the statement "I learned leadership and team management skills, time management, and flexibility from raising my two sons?"

Should I just delete it from my resume? Is it doing any good whatsoever?

if it boils down to "experience vs. none" then experience wins out everytime.

but what really matters in both taiwan and korea is that your CV/resume prominently contains color photos of a youthful teacher that is above average in the looks department. such a person will win out in the vast majorrity of cases.
