| Outside of Xi'an and Baoji, there's little to do. Be aware that, "a little outside of Xi'an" is pretty rural and your options for life outside of university may be limited. Xi'an is an awesome city, but a substantial number of universities claiming to be, "in Xi'an," are not, or they are so far removed from the urban center that they are virtually another city unto themselves. Also, NEVER trust a fao who tells you a university is located in a, "suburb" of a particular city. While, by mainland standards their claims are true, "suburb" in China is often the purest form of the word: sub-urban, i. e. "the sticks." Nothing out there. Getting to and from the "suburb" will eat up a lot of time and maybe some money, and Xi'an's public transit system is seriously over burdened and not as convenient as it used to be. |
