A 17 day vacation is around the corner for our faculty and because we're nearly all a new lot, iqamas and exit visas have yet to be procured. Any vacation off the compound will be within Saudi Arabia. One of the better ideas has been to camp and dive along the Red Sea. Some of us are certified, and some not. Some of us are as happy snorkling as diving. Instead of settling on a single hotel, an idea has been we "rough it" on the beaches after having invested in some basic camping gear.
Anyone have any experience/advice/warnings/suggestions? We'd like to stay north of Jeddah. |
