I read that the Colon is devalued by up to 20% per year by the Costa Rican Central Bank. Is that accurate? Does that mean that the US dollar will actually gain strength every year you are in CR? |

It does fall a little every year, but 20% is probably an overstatement. You should always rent in Colones and not dollars. |

Hmmmm, interesting. When you say to rent in Colones and not dollars, is that because the exchange rate between the two currencies tends to improve over the course of time? |
